The Reference & Research Book News prepares concise, descriptive reviews of new books in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities — for librarians and other buyers of serious books.

The Midwest Book Review publishes monthly book reviews specifically designed for community and academic librarians, booksellers, and the general reading public. In their August 2010 “MBR Bookwatch” section p 1, they reviewed my newest vampire reference book, “Encyclopedia of Vampire Mythology” (McFarland).

Mysticon has invited me to be one of their author guests, and I have graciously accepted. Located in Roanoke, VA MystiCon promotes itself as being a Fantasy, Gaming, and Sci-Fi convention. It is set to run from February 25th to the 27 at the Roanoke Holiday Inn

Cynthia Moore Brow, besides being Greensboro’s premier storyteller and my good friend is also now my co-author. Our first book together, “Folklore and Ghost-Stories of the Piedmont” is being published by Schiffer Books Inc., and will out in Spring of 2011
