I have recently accepted an invitation to be a guest at Mars Con, January 14-16, 2011, the convention is located in Williamsburg, VA at the Holiday Inn Patriot.

. Every morning I have been working on my newest project, “The Encyclopedia of Demonic Lore” for McFarland, working on the rewrite and formatting the bibliography. In the afternoon and evening I drive to a sound studio down the I-10 in LA to work on an audio book for Buzzy Multimedia. The book is Patricia Briggs’ “Dragon Blood,” and the talent reading it is Joe Manganiello, who also read the first book in the series, “Dragon Bones.” Joe is a natural talent at this and is making great time.

The Reference & Research Book News prepares concise, descriptive reviews of new books in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities — for librarians and other buyers of serious books.

The Midwest Book Review publishes monthly book reviews specifically designed for community and academic librarians, booksellers, and the general reading public. In their August 2010 “MBR Bookwatch” section p 1, they reviewed my newest vampire reference book, “Encyclopedia of Vampire Mythology” (McFarland).

Mysticon has invited me to be one of their author guests, and I have graciously accepted. Located in Roanoke, VA MystiCon promotes itself as being a Fantasy, Gaming, and Sci-Fi convention. It is set to run from February 25th to the 27 at the Roanoke Holiday Inn

Cynthia Moore Brow, besides being Greensboro’s premier storyteller and my good friend is also now my co-author. Our first book together, “Folklore and Ghost-Stories of the Piedmont” is being published by Schiffer Books Inc., and will out in Spring of 2011

On October 2, 2010 I will be appearing at Monster Fest in Chesapeake, Va. The one day con is held in the very beautiful Chesapeake Central Library. This year’s theme – “Monster Fest Meets the Wolfman.”

I’ve been out of town, promoting my new book, “The Encyclopedia of Vampire Mythology” from McFarland, so I am behind in my updating the website. I am happy to announce that an interview I did for the Innsmouth Free Press is now up and running! It’s a pretty good interview if I do say so [...]

The Library Journal, founded by Melvil Dewey (the guy who invented the Dewey decimal system) has been in publication since 1876. With an emphasis on public libraries, it has a circulation of about 100,000 subscribers. Among its trade related articles it also reviews books, and in August of 2010, they reviewed mine, “The encyclopedia of Vampire Mythology.”
